Introduction

Signature Golf Events was asked by a Forbes 100 company to produce, manage and enhance a quick turnaround Masters program for some of its largest clients.  The program has 3 waves, of 8 participants each wave.

Signature Golf Events Strategy

The Masters is a complex event to plan.  Strong demand for housing, badges, parking and other amenities are unlike almost any event, so long term relationships within Augusta community allow Signature Golf Events to work thru the process swiftly and successfully.  First up, securing the housing needs for client, this at the Masters is thru the rental of private homes.  Thru a site visit we conducted, the client was showed 6 homes that fit the quality and size requirements of the group.  Client was excited with the homes selected and SGE completed all the contracting to finalize.  Next, on to the badges, which are normally in much demand, no more than now with the opening of a new hospitality suite, driving up the cost and supply.  With our strong relationships, SGE was able to secure all the badges at the lowest rate available, saving client money.  With that complete, SGE moved on to the enhancements of the program, providing a trip to remember.  Some of the highlights:

• Hiring a personal professional chef on site providing exquisite food throughout the program
• Securing golf tee times at local golf courses for participants to enjoy at their leisure
• Setting up all transportation to and from Atlanta to transportation during their program, including hiring a chauffeur and deluxe vehicles.
• Renting plasma screen TV’s for host homes
• Securing access to hospitality suite located at Augusta National
• Hiring and planning a dinners with Butch Harmon.
• Procurement of high end gift packs for each participant, including clothing, amenities and memorabilia from the Masters Tournament.
• Providing quality professional staff on site the entire week, always looking one step ahead and catering to every participant needs.

Result

Thru only two days of the event, the client informed us that response had been so overwhelming, they wanted us to start planning next years program.  Some of the responses from company’s executive committee:
